How do I set my email program to NOT leave a copy of email messages on the mail server after they're downloaded?
Having your email program leave copies of mail on the server after you've downloaded them can cause your mailbox to fill up and go over its alloted disk quota eventually. So you probably want to ensure to ensure your mail program is not doing this, in order to prevent your account from going over quota. Just locate your email program in the list below, and follow the instructions to set your email program to delete mail off the mail server after it's downloaded the messages to your computer.

- Apple Mail:Click on the Mail menu, and select Preferences. You'll see your current email acounts listed, select your zNET account and click Edit. Click on the Account Options tab, and check the option for "Delete messages on server after downloading". Click OK. Done.
- Entourage (Macintosh):Click on Tools->Accounts. In the Accounts window, click on the Mail tab. Highlight the entry for zNET and click the "Edit" button. In the "Edit Account" window, click the Options tab, and uncheck "Leave a copy of each message message on the server". Click OK. Done.
- Eudora 5.x (Macintosh): Click on Special->Settings. In the scrolling pane on the left in the "Settings" window, click on the "Checking Mail" icon. Uncheck the box that says "Leave on server for X days". Click OK. Done.
- Eudora 5.x (Windows): Click on Tools->Options. In the scrolling pane on the left in the "Options" window, click on the "Incoming Mail" (or "Checking Mail") icon. Uncheck the box that says "Leave mail on server". Click OK. Done.
- Netscape 4.7x: Go to Edit->Preferences, click on Mail and Newsgroups, and click on Mail Servers. Select Incoming Mail Server for your zNET account. Uncheck "Leave messages on server". Done.
- Netscape 6: Go to Edit-Preferences, click on Mail and Newsgroups, and click on Mail Servers. Select Incoming Mail Server for
your zNET account. Click "Edit". Click the "POP" tab, and uncheck "Leave mail on server". Done.
- Outlook Express for Windows, and Outlook 98/2000/etc: Click on Tools->Accounts. In the Accounts window, click on the Mail tab, highlight the entry for zNET and click the Properties button. Click the "Advanced" tab. Uncheck the box that says "Leave a copy of messages on server". Click OK. Done.
- Outlook Express (Macintosh): Click on Tools->Accounts. In the Accounts window, click on the Mail tab, highlight the entry for zNET and click the "Options" tab. Uncheck the box that says "Leave a copy of each message on the server". Click OK. Done.
