Setting up SMTP Authentication for Microsoft Entourage

1. Start Microsoft Entourage, click on "Tools" and "Accounts"

   

2. Highlight your email account and click "Edit"

   

3. Click on the button which says "Click here for advanced sending options" under "Sending Mail".

   

4. A window will pop up like the one below.

   

5. Check "Override default SMTP port" and enter "587" (no quotes) in the box. Also check "My SMTP server requires authentication" and "Use same settings as incoming mail server". Click OK as needed to close the dialog boxes, and you are done.
