SMTP Auth Setup for
Pine 4.x

  1. Open Pine. Use your arrow key (or press "s") to get to the "Setup" option.

  2. Now press "c" or use your arrow key to get to the "Config" option.

  3. In the Configuration screen, under "user-domain" enter your email domain (which is znet.com).

  4. Under "smtp-server", edit the current value to be like the below (omit the "brackets"):

    <your mail server name goes here>:587/user=<your username goes here>

    So for example if your email domain was "znet.com", your mail server was "la.znet.com" and your username was "bob_smith", your screen would look like the below:

  5. Press "e" to exit setup, say "Yes" when prompted to save your changes, and you are all set. Pine will prompt you for your password when you go to send email.
